holidays over! ;(

everybody's back to school already. 2-weeks vacation is over!

December 25, 2009
CHRISTMAS DAY! the whole family attended the midnight mass, the church was over-flowing with people, the adults, teenager, kids, new-borns, that scenario may be seen once a year, just means that it's the most special the day to all people, no wonder then and everybody believes in that. 12am mass is over "noche buena" is ready! eating time!! we have barbeque, ice cream, seafood pasta, hotdog with marshmallows, roasted chicken and apple shake. what's next? opening of gifts wwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeepeeeeeeee. 5 days before christmas we have monito monita or exchange gift. we have 'bunutan' x5, so everyday we have gifts to open we also need to buy gifts for our kasambahays. My first pick was my dad i gave him Parker ballpen, next is my Kuya Gab - Von Dutch shirt (VON??) haha it was cute, then gabe - David and Goliath glow in the dark shirt yeepee he likes glow in the dark haha, them my mom- new pair of havianas metallic, last but definitely no the least Brie - gave him the Lego Star Wars PSP Game. :D it was FUN even though it cost much the happiness i saw in their faces has unbeatable price! i recieved a necklace from dad, disney green crocs from kuya, crocs bag from mommy, cartolina size i love you card from gabe (love this sooo much it's sooo cute), patrick, spongebob and sandy from brie and the square yema from yaya letty (our favorite yum yum), 2 boxes of cloud 9 from kuya den he gave it to me secretly hahahaha! Enough for this it's Christmas Day this is it.. gift opening again! I recieved shockwave (woohoo), speed stacks, new tires for my car, Plasma TV from my lola (LOLA YOU'RE THE BEST, i know you cant read this but i really love you! mwaa not jjust for this!), lampshade, perfumes and cash. haha. In return I also gave gifts to them, especially to my godchildren they're 12 but they also have so sibliings so i need to give them too, but as i said it's not with the money. While waiting for visitors we're just having fun with the Magic Sing Videoke all day long. haha. The day ended up so well but the spirit of Christmas is still on going until now as the time i posted this.

DECEMBER 31,2009
Last Day of the year 2009 - a year full of meaning happenings.
good-bad, happy-sad, ccolorful-dull aand many more mmore but one thing is the most important in all of these, we survived another year, we're alive, blessed for having the chance that we can still experience the year of 2010, new year! Last day of the year we have 'palaro' for the kids, it was fun everybody enjoyed our little party for them full of games, prizes, food and laughs. FUN!
We have a lot of fire crackers and 20-minute fireworks but the goodbye philippines is the best haha BOOOOOOOOOOM it's like a 10x LPG exploded, it was the most dangerous firecracker in the Philippines hahaha i didn't get a chance to took a photo or video of it exploding because when they started lighting it we all run inside the house hahaha all are afraid guys we're the ones left outside but really far from the fire cracker haha! everybody enjoyed our fireworks display haha.

hours left for 2009!

Less than 12 hours left for the year 2009.

By this time people are busy preparing for their "media noche" or midnight meal as a welcome for the year 2010. Others starts to turn on their videoke and non-stop singing different kind of songs new, old, love, party and etc., others are trying their firecrackers high up on the sky and BOOM! they can't wait til midnight but i don't have the right to say anything bad to them they want it soooo let them be happy! haha! different people are doing different things as of now as we prepare to say our 'goodbye' to 2009 we can't say "see you" because one thing that can't be returned is TIME.

My whole family now is busy preparing for the 'palaro' for the children at our street in Makati, it's already a tradition, my Lolo started it but he already passed away but the spirit of His Love is still alive so as long as we can we'll give the kids and everyone who's living near us a simple joy and a memorable event before the year say it's goodbye. Maybe you're wondering why i'm here, blogging while all are busy 'cause they're cooking by that course cant help anything! HAHA! i can't cook just eat eat eat! HAHA!

We also have few hours to thank 2009 for everything it gave us wonderful memories that we'll treasure throughout our lives, trials that makes us more stronger and better, lessons we learn and everything it brought us.

Especially we have to thank God for His unending Love, protection, guidance, blessings and lessons to His people as we face a new beginning and we don't know what will happen to the upcoming year/s but we don't have to be afraid 'cause GOD is ALWAYS at our side, who will never leave us!

On my last post last weekend it seems that everything was into their places perfectly, happily and problem-free.
BUT the next weekend Saturday to be specific it was so sudden that everything has CHANGED. The Typhoon Ondoy (Ketsana) hit the Philippines with its unending hard rainfall on the early Saturday until evening.

I left the house around 5:30am to drive myself to school because i have classes at 7:30am for Chemistry, my major subject. While I'm on my to school i drive carefully because the roads was slippery and the rain is pouring, there was a heavy traffic in Magallanes that took my time, so arrived at my dorm 7:20am, i quickly grab my towel and took a shower then straight to our building i arrived 8:30am (it's not new to my profs that I'm always late. haha) but when entered the room i was shocked that there's only few of my classmates were present, by 9am we started our laboratory, i didn't know that my parents are calling me because the class was already suspended and asking me to go home urgently in Makati my phone was at my bag, after class i checked my phone and saw 23 missed calls from them and messages "gabby the class was suspended go home now so you won't be trapped in traffic" after reading that i asked my prof if its true that the classes where suspended she said she didn't know because where having a class and not updated with the current news. i tried calling my parents but i can't contact them (all of them) I entered my next class because of the 100 items quiz at 12pm my class is over i went back to the dorm to change my clothes and attend a practice for my P.E. final practical exam actually was planning to escape but i felt guilty knowing that all of them was there practicing and didn't care about the rain. So i attended the practice around 1pm my dad called me and said that it's better to stay at the dorm because the rain was pouring really hard and the main roads were already blocked because of the floods so i have no choice but to follow them. While practicing the electricity at the activity center was gone so my classmates started to worry then i opened the radio at my phone to check the conditions of other places particularly the places where my classmates live, we stayed at the activity center until 3pm hoping that the rain would stop and they can go home but that didn't happen and it became worst the wind started to blow really hard that breaks the windows on our school building, the plants in the plots were flying and the umbrellas was useless. They called their parents and inform that they'll just stay at the dorm of their classmates because the flood on the main campus (a 5 minutes walk away from the place where we are staying) was was already on shoulder line any kind of transportation cannot pass, while staying at the activity center one of my guy classmate went back with his white nursing uniform that turns into brown and a news that the water level was so high and it's safer to stay there and he also said that my three girl classmates didn't care about the flood and continue to go on up to the point they went up to the truck of RC Cola just to pass the bridge and safely have their way home we are so worried about them. After hours of waiting we decided to plan where will my other classmate can stay and decided to have eat first because since early in that morning i didn't eat ANYTHING, same with some of them we did a long walk at the rain without umbrella because it was broken already after a long walk all stores are closed we planned to go to SM mall just to buy something eat but we fail no jeepneys, fx or taxi are passing so i came up to the idea of using my car but everybody refused it's dangerous so NOTHING we go to our respective dorms with the classmates who will take an overnight with us. Two of them was with me Jhen and Fatima when we arrived at my dorm . i quickly look for some food there have biscuits, candy and juices i think it's enough for us to surpass our hunger but it's really different to have a rice and any food for dinner but we have no choice so after we fill our stomach we went to sleep but the sound of the wind and the strong drops of rain gives me more worries. I don't know what's happening outside, how's my family, friends, classmates and everybody and the question of why is my family stayed at Makati? It bothered me so much but when i got to talk with all of them that night i was relieved they were safe after the call i went to sleep.

We woke up 5:30am we decided to prepare our things and go home i texted my dad first informing him that I'm going home then he replied that he'll just fetch me so i inform the two girls that's with me that i'll be fetched then we'll just drop them to their houses, we went out to check for an open stores to have something to eat, unfortunately, all are still closed we waked a little to check the main road if its passable i saw jeepneys then i said "YEHEY! MAKAKAUWI NA KAMI!" then i saw them U-turning after the chinabank then we asked the traffic enforcers why they are taking u-turns they said the the flood on the main campus onwards up to the bridge was still in waist deep when i heard that i thought of "huhuhuhu. how can we go home I'm so hungry. :( my last meal was friday dinner huhuhu" so i texted my dad right away that the road to my dorm was still impassable then he replied and asked if there's a way we can pass up t the bridge then i asked the tricycle driver and he said yes but still we have to walk we just agreed then he sent us to the destination we walked and walked and walked until we reached the street to the main road then i was SHOCKED of what i saw F L O O D thigh deep OMG! i don't know what to do many people are still passing the streets despite of the flood so now it's the decision time! We GO through that flood but still gabby is pasaway, so i thought of a thing that can help us cross the street without stepping at the road with flood i saw two men at the end of the wall it's like a firewall of the house the width of it was 7inches (my estimate) yeas it was very dangerous but facing the flood is also dangerous so GO i climbed up there and my classmates followed then we crossed after crossing using the wall next is we use the jeepney just reach the opposite road YES JEEPNEY BUT NOT the place where do people sit we across using the ROOF (imagine how deep the water is) then after that we have no choice but to face the flood but it's already on knee deep so GO with the flow by that time i forgot that I'm hungry the only thing in my mind was i need to go home! then we walked through the gutter so were far from the flood we walked for an hour that experience was really different something like what's happening in the movie "The Day After Tomorrow" where it's like the end of the world but the difference was FILIPINO was still wearing a smile on their faces like rejoicing they're still alive and safe even though their material things was eaten by the flood. WELL, WE'RE PINOY! While walking
we saw 3 dead people. CREEPY. floating coffins. tons of trash. mud. reversed position of brand new cars same with the old ones. animals on swim. Styrofoam boats. floating beds. and a LOT of people evacuating from Valenzuela because of the incoming supertyphoon PEPENG just to be safe they conquer the flood then leave their flooded place. then WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK WALK until we reach where my dad is waaaaaaaahhh! DADDY i hugged my dad as tight as could awww then again WALK WALK WALK until we reached our car my dad parked near a subdivision of the rich people the flood there was up to the third floor the cars was full of mud, their gates with
trash and the expensive appliances broken. We reached our car then we accompanied my classmate we're she will be fetched. then YES! WE WENT HOME! i missed then soooooooooo much!

WE DON'T KNOW WHEN WILL NATURE DO IT'S REVENGE, MAYBE TOMORROW.. NEXT DAY.. IT WILL HAPPEN ON THE DAY WHEN WE LEAST EXPECTED IT. IMAGINE TYPHOON ONDOY WAS ONLY SIGNAL #1 IN MANILA NOT EVEN A SUPERTYPHOON BUT WHAT'S THE RESULT? THE RAIN IT POURS WAS A RAINFALL OF 5-6 TYPHOONS. SEE HOW THINGS CHANGE? PEOPLE CAN CHANGE ALSO BUT NOT THAT FAST BUT IT CAN HAPPEN SLOWLY.
-TRY TO MINIMIZE SMOKING AND END UP NOT USING IT ANYMORE
-RECYCLE THE PLASTICS, DONT BURN IT!
-DON'T CUT THE TREES, PLANT MORE!

AND A WHOLE LOT MORE! IT'S BETTER TO MAKE A LITTLE CHANGE THAN DOING NOTHING!

BUT TYPHOON ONDOY ALSO HAS AN ADVANTAGE!

BAYANIHAN is a Filipino term taken from the word bayan, referring to a nation, town or community. The whole term bayanihan refers to a spirit of communal unity or effort to achieve a particular objective.

PINOY's bayanihan reigned DURING and AFTER the said calamity.
FILIPINO SPIRIT at this situation no one is rich, poor, artist, private citizen, politicians, kids, adults, ALL ARE VICTIMS!
and ALL ARE HEROES. small or big help, no difference you helped others! It was really nice seeing PINOY'S showing their wide concern about their KAPWA-PINOY!

One unique attitude of PINOY? We can still SMILE despite of the what happened and PINOYS never forget to say THANK YOU!

Saturday (091909) - I'm not feeling well because I got a mouth-sore at the tip of my tongue and gabe was sick last Thursday so they decided not to go out. We just stayed at the house and rest but it's not a hindrance for having a great weekend with the family. After my class my mom fetched me at the school because she don't allow me to drive my car when I'm sick, I'm not that sick but i was so irritated about my mouth-sore and that can remove my focus on the road. When we got home we have our lunch the WHOLE family with my Lola and the kasambahays and drivers. Unbelievable that kuya was present at the Saturday lunch haha he didn't went to his work because soo tired doing his report for tuesday haha he rushed it up because we have plans for the long weekend he must not miss anything on the plan-list, my brother is working as a volunteer nurse and currently taking medicine, we do have the same plans for college take nursing as our premed and proceed to medicine but we differ on our specialization, he's taking specialty on surgical/internal medicine and if I'm blessed I'll take pediatrics if my mind doesn't change we don't know what will happen next, I'm praying hard for GOD to give me great strength and confidence to GO ON and thanks to HIM for his unending blessings, I'm still alive and has the opportunity to reach my dream! YES! go gabs! haha dami pang kwento eh no! sorry na! After Lunch we watched THE INCREDIBLES, the favorte movie of the family but we have a dfferent version because the movie got not kuya gab! haha. After watching we played 'ice ice water' haha with dad while mom and lola busy chatting with each other, when all of us got tired we have our MERIENDA! weepee! hotdogs and marshmallows awww but i just drank an apple shake because of my mouth-sore :( after i ate lunch i think it got worst :(( the funny thing after the tiring game and the lovely snack while watching Phineas and Ferbs we (dad,kuya,me,brie&gabe) we got a nap! haha dad, kuya and gabe was on the sofa, me and brie was on the air bed! haha so the dinner was moved at 9pm maybe if lola ddn't wake us up we didn't had our dinner hahaha but that won't happen if lola is there. haha.
we took dinner but again just took mango shake lola went to Makati then they all set off to sleep. I stayed until 5am i can't sleep so i just chatted with my friends! :D

Sunday (092009) - I slept 5am in the morning and woke up around 8am I'm kinda hungry since yesterday i just poured myself with juices haha breakfast in bed with my siblings, mom and dad went to the park, exercising with gabshin and dragsie :)) after eating we just stayed at out parents room to watch cartoons. we like their room because their bed was huge 6 of us can sleep there! haha My mouth-sore is not that irritating so can eat already we ate lunch then we went to greenbelt weeeee shopping! and gabe and brie will also attend a birthday party haha party for kids so while they're enjoying there we (mom,dad,kuya & i) went to the spa, RELAXING stresses was gone, great feeling YEAH! after that we fetched my brothers then we ate at burgoo then HOME! waaaaaah. straight to bed then sleep. GREAT!


Monday (092109) - HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOLO! If he didn't die he's 78 yrs. old but he's still alive in our hearts. :D We prepared foods then invited relatives and friends! YEAH! bonding bonding!

GOD IS REALLY GREAT! i thanked, thank and will thank HIM for E V E R Y T H I N G!
HE is the BEST! i was so blessed with loving, happy, awesome family! great friends and the BEST GOD!

How i wish that I'm a high school student FOREVER!

Things that i miss so much!
1. When they call me biel, viel, bhaeyel. Now, in college they call me Gabriel :(
2. No sitting arrangements!
3. My funny BATCHMATES!
4. The BEST teachers
5. Gimmicks after class
6. Paper fight
7. Tekken or Dissidia during Physics class
8. Never-ending school activities
9. Movie premier nights
10. DOTA until 10pm
11. Girl's basketball and boy's volleyball
12. "asaransssssss"
13. biktimahan
14. Concerts
15. "kalokohans"

and many many more. If got a chance to change the school curriculum
i'll make it; for elementary Grade 1-6 then 8 years in high school with
course then you can work already! hahah!I know that won't happen! haha.

Everybody said that the best part of our school days was HIGH SCHOOL. YES!
i totally agree with that. College was really different, I'm still coping up with the new environment
which is really really important I'll be in this environment for 4 years or 6 more years, no choice. haha.
But I can do this! GO GABBY! :P




^ 1st year! 2005-2006 I-helium. They said that we are the WORST section on that school year. But we don't care, we really had a great year, the bond was really strong. PERFECT.



^ 2nd year. Nothing's new we're still the worst section, but out friendship became more DEEPER
we treat each other as our real brother and sister, but think most of our worst experience popped out
in this year. It was my happiest and worst year, i got an 83 grade in English that put my Honor into danger
the teacher gave me another chance then BOOM! i recovered. haha. BUT for the record i didn't get nervous
because as i said IT'S WORST we don't care about the studies we just care about the hang-outs, the games,
practice, movies and etc. so studies was set aside; It's also the year were i commute in going to school
my class starts at 7:20am but I'm 'pasaway' i always leave the house at 7:00 then a 40 minutes travel t school,
around 8 I'm already there because of our unchanging attitude our adviser assigned a RULE 'LATE COMERS
ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEAT UNTIL RECESS TIME' haha. yeah, but still i didn't care nothing change i come to school late then when my adviser leaves our class i can seat already because he can't see me/us seating. haha. Many kalokohan was done this year!



^3rd year. From being 'SO PASAWAY' to 'good girl'(not really. haha) i balanced my studies and gimmicks
that leads into a good product. hehe. and so many distractions occurred here! HAHA. (don't ask what is it. you knew it already! haha. shhhh)




^ 4th year. Last but definitely not the least. GOOD MEMORIES! spending almost all of the time with all batchmates, unending picture-taking, reminiscing memories, planning in the future, preparations for college and enjoying the days that we're all together in one school wearing the same uniform, same teachers, occupying the long tables at the canteen for all of our batchmates. I MISS ALL OF THESE!





GRADUATION DAY! everybody was not excited for this, it will be the last day that we're all together in a place, we may see each other but not the whole batch. Everything is set, practiced then FIGHT graduation ceremony started it goes smoothly as planned. After the ceremony nobody cried (imagine!) we also didn't say our goodbye's but SEE YOU NEXT TIME! that is one of the many things we learned from our adviser not to say goodbye but see you next time! :D

I'm not the easiest person to love
- YES! I 100% agree (I'm not sure about the others :P) you know why? 
simply because i don't take things seriously many agreed with that!
specially guys(haha. diba?) sometimes it pissed them off but I adore those
who have patience on my abnormal behavior(sometimes!). :P
I'm not easy to love but i appreciate all your love! LOVE YOU! MWA!

I'm often the one who lets things go unresolved
- When it deals with problems i always let it unresolved
 I don't push/rush things to solve it right away maybe 
i can fine the answer on the future but not now. 
Many things can happen if you resolve it right away
you might regret it one day unlike letting it unresolved for 
 the mean time you have a lot of time to think for the right 
 move. Me, gabby let things unresolved today and set it next 
week.haha. But honestly speaking I'm afraid of problems, 
 maybe that's why i let them unresolved. 


I'm not too proud of some things
- I'm proud of all that I have my GOD, FAMILY, FRIENDS and EVERYBODY
One thing I'm not proud of.. I'm UNEMOTIONAL or NUMB sometimes i get 
jealous when i see someone crying because i don't cry REALLY PROMISE
everybody knows about that S H A M E because sometimes it can hurt others
like for example my friend will transfer in other country or somewhere
 and we can't communicate anymore and so it's saying goodbye's and you the
bestfriend has no reaction or something like you'll not be sad because the common
sign when you're sad you'll cry but it's not me it's not gabbie. one time during our 
retreat there was a part there where you'll analyze things you've done the right
and the wrongs, everybody is crying but me uhmm at least i got teary-eyed but 
not the tears flowing on my face, it's just forming on my eyes and has no plans 
on falling down. BUT i have a REASON on that ii have an Asthma since I was young
so whenever i cry on my younger years i always got an attack as in i cant breathe
and the inhalers, the nebulizers are always on my side. AND the other reason is
I don't want others to see me cry. When I'm sad i pour my emotions on my sports,
most of you know that I'm a sport-minded person and that's my way of releasing
my E M O T I O N S .

STRESS

There are SOOOOOOO many reasons to be stressed these past few days!

1. The results of my midterm examinations.

- Those moments were so INTENSE, knowing your grade if you pass or not, but luckily i passed all the subject. weepee. Got my English perfect so I'm exempted for finals same with Filipino and Math. I talked to my Professor in Anatomy so i can take my midterms exam and if I'm blessed i can be exempt for finals then she said "Ok, Ms Sangalang but be sure to get a high score, if not you'll take your Final exam in Anatomy and you will not credit your incentive on the prelim exam", so that's our deal and again I'm blessed AGAIN! haha. So i only have 5 exam on finals. hayy. i love it! I'm excited for SEMBREAK!

2. My Grandma will be home SOOOOON!

- O!M!G! hahahaha. ok the GOOD GABRIELS WILL BE COMING ALSO! haha!
She'll be home because it's the birthday of my Lolo, hayy i miss the soo much. :D but my granda is strict need to refresh her rules (hahaha)
a. eat on time
b. 8 hours sleep
c. vitamins & exercise
d. NO BOYS! uh-oh haha (exclusive rule for gabbie. haha)
e. minimize the gimmicks :'(
f. no driving :'(
g. don't be LATE uh-oh
and many many more... but still my Lola is sooooooo sooooo sweet as ever!

welcome home Mamang and good gabriels haha (gabriel(my dad)gab(my kuya)gabby(me)brie(brother)gabe(youngest). haha. all of us are Gabriel except for my mom she's Virginia. haha. but it's okay. She's unique.

3. OCTOBERFEST!

- uhhhhh. That just means the start of our heavy training huhuhu but it's okay it's fun i'll compete for the free style and butterfly as always there's nothing new about that haha. I'm really excited for the new competitors on the first game it would be: (cainta vs. antipolo), (pasig vs. binangonan) and i forgot the others. haha. sorry. i'll tell you next time na lang. haha. The first elimination willbe on October 2. weepee.

4. MY BIRTHDAY PARTY

- I'm not yet decided where to celebrate my birthday but i really really want it to be in Mcdonald's BUT BUT BUT i also want a beach party OR OR OR just celebrate it at house with all my family and friends and classmates. But i really want it at Mcdonald's to be different and it would be sooo cute haha wiith the mascots dancing and dancing and the traditional parlor games but i don't want the kids to play it, the teens or elders will play hihihi. So it's like a "NO KIDS ALLOWED" type of party. haha. cute. EVERYBODY is invited on my party! :D

MANY more stressing moments! ahahah. BUT THANK GOD they're all gone now. I'm relaxed and full of energy and ready for a new stress J O K E hahaha I'm tired of those.

I'm excited to have my own copy of the "LOST SYMBOL" by Dan Brown i checked the bookstores already but they have the same status "OUT OF STOCK" :( i'll try again tomorrow! weepee!
